Rosacea is a chronic condition, and can persist for a long time and, in any individual, the severity tends to fluctuate. Rosacea tends to affect the cheeks, forehead, chin and nose, and is characterised by persistent redness caused by dilated blood vessels, small bumps and pus-filled spots similar to acne. There may also be uncomfortable inflammation of the surface of the eyes and eyelids.

Frequently asked questions
HOW DOES DERMAPEN MICRONEEDLING WORK?
It works by stimulating collagen production in the dermal layer of your skin which strengthens and thickens both the dermal and epidermal layer. This means that the skin is more resistant to the triggers that cause the redness and flushing normally associated with rosacea. Over time it also reduces the rough and bumpy texture that some forms of rosacea produce. If you have breakouts with your rosacea then you can still have micro-needling but only at times when the skin is calm, not during an episode of breakouts.
A course of 4 is recommended to see the best results (6 if you also have deep lines or acne scarring) and these are taken 4 weeks apart.
You will also need to use appropriate homecare to complement and boost your treatments.
HOW DOES IPL PHOTOREJUVENATION?
IPL Photorejuvenation is generally recognized as the most effective treatment for facial redness, flushing, broken veins, Rosacea, pigmentation and sun damage. A welcome addition to this, IPL will stimulate collagen production resulting in a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles and an improvement in skin texture.
We recommend a course of 6, 4 weeks apart.
